[This section will be about what certain sites have said about NLA and whether it is true or not. There aren't many reviews, but it's important to correct them.]
(Private School Review) Religious Affiliation is Nonsectarian: False, It was heavily Christian, they begrudgingly aided the students with different religions but they’d still make them participate in prayer. We’d have to pray 4 times a day, and you’d get an LO if you didn’t hold hands (even if you were Jewish).
(Private School Review) The student body was 23: It was sporadic, sometimes it was 27, and other times it’d 43, but it’s usually in the mid to late 30’s.
(Indeed) The happiness was above average: You’re joking. Anyone you ask will tell you the only happiness anyone experienced was when Susan clocked out for the next 3 days.
(Indeed) What benefits does New Leaf Academy Offer? None: True. The one true review I've seen, and it's not even a review, but a "popular question".
(Private School Review) They support students with ADHD: No. They do not. Sure, they may give them medication, but any time a fidget toy comes out, you’d either get an LO, be told to put it away, or both. We couldn’t bring anything to group with us. We couldn’t even draw. They have the audacity to tell you to stop bouncing your leg (it happens with ADHD and anxiety). But then again, we got in trouble for things we couldn’t control all the time.
(Glassdoor) It’s a great place to work: Unless you get off on manipulating vulnerable children, then no. It’s not. There were very few good staff, and they all ended up leaving. It is a toxic and abusive environment. (there was also very little training for the staff)
(Glassdoor) Supportive and caring environment: Not supportive whatsoever. All they cared about was the money they got from exploiting the parents.
