“I Survived New Leaf Academy” is a tumblr page started by a student who went to NLA in North Carolina for 2 years from 2007 to 2009. Since NLA-NC has been shut down, the more current content of this blog includes stories from students who went to NLA in Bend Oregon. I hope you decide to look at this blog. You have to make an account in order to view the full thing, and although that may seem inconvenient, I don’t feel comfortable copying other students' stories from the blog here without their knowledge, and it’s highly unlikely they will get back to me if I ask to post them here directly.
